A personalised I-Ching reading is not a generic horoscope, nor a template reading dressed up with your name. Instead, it is a traditional Daoist divination, cast specifically for the moment your question crystallises into words.
In classical Chinese metaphysics, the moment a thought takes shape is treated as significant rather than random. Indeed, the configuration of time when a question forms carries meaning, and a properly cast oracle reads that configuration. This principle, which Carl Jung called synchronicity when he introduced the I Ching to the West, sits at the heart of how I work.
Therefore, when you place an order and write down your question, that act of crystallising the question becomes the moment the oracle reads. The reading I prepare for you is grounded in classical methodology, not in pre-written archetypes.
What You Will Receive

In addition, every reading includes plain-English explanations of any classical terms used, so you can follow the interpretation without prior knowledge of the I Ching.
What I Need From You
At checkout, please share the following:
1. Your question — one focused, present-tense question. Specific questions yield clearer readings. For example:
✓ “What should I understand about this career opportunity?”
✓ “What dynamic is at play in this relationship?”
✗ “Will I be rich one day?” (too open-ended)
2. Brief context (3–5 sentences) — who is involved, what is at stake, what you are considering. Generally, the more grounded the context, the more grounded the reading.
3. Your date of birth (YYYY-MM-DD).
4. Time of birth, with AM/PM, if known. Alternatively, indicate “morning / afternoon / evening / night” or leave blank — I will work with the date alone.
5. Your first name or initials.
A note on timing: I cast the oracle using the moment you submit your order. In other words, the time you write down your question is itself part of the reading. You do not need to track this; the system records it automatically.
How Your Personalised I-Ching Reading Is Cast
Each reading is cast using classical Daoist time-based methods. Specifically, depending on the nature of your question, the cast may draw on the Six Lines method (六爻), the Plum Blossom method (梅花易数), or Qi Men Dun Jia (奇门遁甲). However, you do not need to know any of this. What you receive is a clear, accessible reading written in plain English.
Furthermore, I am Dr. Jason E — President of the Australian Chinese I Ching Association, and a lineage holder in four classical Daoist traditions. The methodology is therefore traditional. The language I use to share it with you, on the other hand, is direct and modern.

Your personalised I-Ching reading is delivered within 3 business days, sent as a PDF to the email address on your order. Since I am based in Brisbane, Australia (AEST), there may be a slight timezone delay in our initial exchange.
What This Is and Is Not
This reading is offered as a tool for reflection and orientation, grounded in classical tradition. Chinese divination works with patterns and tendencies rather than certainties. In other words, what it offers is clarity, not control.
Moreover, you will receive an honest reading. If the chart suggests caution, I will say so. When it suggests momentum, I will say so as well. I do not soften readings to please, nor sharpen them to alarm.
